Upcoming URL Changes for LienHub Modules
CurrentlyHistorically, the LienHub County-Held Certificates and , My Portfolio modules use , and Tax Lien Auction modules all used separate, distinct URLs: lienexpress.net and , deedexpress.net, and bidcounty.com respectively. These are among the last public facing remnants of the earlier, standalone applications. Late October 2019As of late October 2019, we began transitioning away from using the separate lienexpress.net and deedexpress.net URLs. As of early March 2021, we are transitioning away from using these separate URLs and will use the bidcounty.com URLs for the Tax Lien Auction module. With these changes, LienHub.com will be used for all modules.
This change is intended to have minimal impact on users and clients while improving the technical stance and supportability of LienHub.
Tax Lien Auction Sample
Before the update, a user could access the Tax Lien Auction module by using a direct URL in the format of BidCounty.com:
After the update, the auction site for each county can still be accessed directly using a URL format of lienhub.com/county/county_name/certsale/, where county_name is replaced with the name of the county (e.g., lienhub.com/county/alachua/certsale/). Users can also continue to access the auction site by going to LienHub.com, selecting a county, and then clicking Bid on Tax Liens from the county splash page or Tax Lien Auction in left navigation menu.
County Held Certificates Sample
Before the update, when a user accesses the County Held Certificates module - either through LienHub or a direct link - they are directed to a lienexpress.net URL:
After the update, users wishing to view and/or purchase County Held Certificates will be directed to a LienHub.com URL but experience the same functionality as before:
My Portfolio Sample
Similarly, when a user accesses the My Portfolio module - either through LienHub or a direct link - they are directed to a deedexpress.net URL:
After the update, users wishing to view their holdings, complete a Tax Deed Application, or transfer certificates will be directed to a LienHub URL but experience the same functionality as before:
How will this impact bidders?
This change will not affect workflows for LienHub users. Once signed into LienHub.com, certificate holders, buyers, and buyers bidders will continue to complete the same functions in the same way they currently do. This update will enhance the overall user experience for online certificate investors by improving the technical efficiency of LienHub and its components, and minimizing any browser issues users might encounter as a result of being directed to different URLs within LienHub.
Although we We will eventually deprecate the lienexpress.net and , deedexpress.net, and bidcounty.com URLs (likely near the end of 2021), but they will continue to be available and will direct users to the applicable parts of LienHub for now.
We do ask that you remain aware of this change and consider whether you have saved or bookmarked any links that directly reference a lienexpress.net or , deedexpress.net, or bidcounty.com URL. In the future you should plan to change these links to reference LienHub.com.
